Practically born with a crayon in my hand, I began drawing at an early age. I would sketch and doodle on the furniture, wallpaper, and floors. Lost in my artwork, I would drift into a world of my own - one of vibrant color, fine lines, and shading.
Following my passion, I studied art at The Kent School in Connecticut from 1997-2001 and lived in the dormitory directly above the studio art classrooms. Here, I would stay awake half the night anticipating my next project and developing my portfolio. In the summer of 2000, I studied and toured several prominent museums and art galleries throughout France, Italy, and Spain. The following summer I worked at an art gallery in Nantucket, Massachusetts and in fall 2001 I began my degree in Fine Arts at The College of Charleston in South Carolina. I studied under the late Michael Tyzack and drew inspiration from the local Charleston artists and architecture. Later, I spent a semester at the University of Southern Maine, where I studied art therapy, focused on painting portraits, and photographing architecture. I soon returned to the College of Charleston and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.
I moved to New York City in 2006 to work and develop my skills as an artist. I was often commissioned to paint portraits and with my attention to detail, began painting architecture. In 2014, I settled in Connecticut, where I continue to paint, draw, and sketch out of my studio located in the Silvermine area. With a love for architecture and an appreciation for real estate, I started to focus on painting and sketching homes. I find comfort in my ability to capture the home within the house.
